The Lost Pines Art Center will be filled with arts and crafts vendors, activities for people of all ages, demonstrations and more at the Bastrop Art Fest on Oct. 19.

Officials said this year’s festival is focused on art from around the world, and will include a performance by Austin’s Okinawa Tomonokai Dance Ensemble.

Other offerings will include hands-on activities like painting, browsing local vendors, food and art demonstrations.

What's happening


The festival schedule is as follows:
  • All day: arts and crafts vendors and artisan pizza by Slice Society ATX
  • 10 a.m.-noon: glassblowing demonstrations
  • 11:00-11:30 a.m.: the Bastrop High School Bear Stage Theater presents an excerpt from Beauty and the Beast
  • Noon-1 p.m.: bronze pouring by Bastrop’s Pyrology Foundry & Studio
  • 1:30-2:15 p.m.: performance by Austin’s Okinawa Tomonokai Dance Ensemble
  • 2-4 p.m.: customized glass-blown pumpkin demonstration
Officials said artist Manda Barnes will create the pumpkins during the festival, and they will be ready for pickup or to ship on Oct. 22.
