People living in Bastrop can kickstart their holiday shopping Oct. 19-20 when Texas Market Guide offers the inaugural Bastrop Hometown Holiday Market.

Lew Campbell, Texas Market Guide spokesperson, said vendors will offer a range of wares, including:

  • Gifts
  • Food
  • Candles

Campbell said the Bastrop Convention and Exhibit Center will be decorated for Christmastime, with the theme of "Gnome For the Holidays.”

Admission is valid for both days, and attendees will receive $1 off the entry price with a non-perishable food donation for the First Baptist Church of Bastrop Food Pantry.
