With summer in the rearview mirror, here are six fall festivals and pumpkin patches to help welcome autumn to Bastrop County.

Jersey Barnyard Pumpkin Patch

The farm offers pumpkins to purchase, along with activities including self-guided tours for $7 and guided tours between $9.50-$12. Attendees can buy food to feed the farm animals, or bottle-feed a calf.

Community Gardens Pumpkin Patch

Children can choose their pumpkins while enjoying train rides, bounce houses, slides, playscapes and pumpkin painting. While the patch is open daily, the full activities are only available Saturdays-Sundays.

Admission includes parking, photo opportunities, playground access, ball toss, hay mountain and a maze. Pumpkins and other attractions like train rides, bounce houses, jump pads, hay rides and a petting zoo can be purchased separately.

The congregation at Ascension Catholic Church will offer live music to accompany an afternoon of games, a cake walk, auctions, raffles and more. Food, drinks and handmade wares will also be available for purchase.

Evergreen Pumpkin Hunt

Attendees can take a free wagon ride to the Christmas tree fields, where miniature pumpkins will be hidden—each ticket allows for two pumpkins. Other activities include pumpkin launching, train rides, foam axe-throwing, fishing pond, zip lines, mazes, bounce houses and more.

The city will host an afternoon celebrating fall with live music, face painting, games, food and craft vendors, and a petting zoo.
