Renovations continue at Bastrop High School

More bond-funded renovations to Bastrop High School are on the horizon, district administrators shared in May.

What you need to know: During a May 13 board update on bond project construction, BISD Director of Planning and Construction Lee Raspberry said the district received its site permit for continued renovations at BHS in early May, and site work began that month.

$17.5M Bastrop ISD police, operations facility completion expected by March

A new facility that will house Bastrop ISD's police department and be a base of district operations is expected to be operational by March of next year, district administrators shared in May.

The big picture: Construction on a $17.5 million facility to house district operations and the police department is ongoing, as reported by Community Impact in March.

In a May 13 update provided to the BISD board of trustees, Director of Construction and Planning Lee Raspberry said the space, which will serve as a base of administrative and operational support for the Bastrop ISD Police Department, will likely be move-in ready by March 2026.

Bastrop ISD campuses on track to open this fall to meet growth needs

Bastrop ISD is making strong progress on new campuses and renovations to existing buildings set to be open to students this fall.

What you need to know: A May 13 update from Lee Raspberry, BISD's director of construction and planning, shows the totally new Adelton Elementary School, and restructured Creekside Middle School and Riverside Middle School are on track to open for the 2025-26 school year in August.

As a new campus, Raspberry said the district expects to receive its certificate of occupancy for Adelton in June.

Renovations of the interiors of Creekside and Riverside are expected to be complete before the start of the school year, with exterior additions to be completed this winter.
