Locals Steve and Sandy Frintz, owners of Rising Sun Vineyard, celebrated five years of serving handcrafted, homegrown wines and food in early September.

The Frintzes threw a weekend-long birthday bash with raffles, outdoor games, live music and specials.
The team also celebrated the one-year anniversary of their on-site sister company, Yegua Creek Brewery, which focuses on house-brewed craft beers.
What they offer
The family-operated winery and brewery are nestled on 70 acres in McDade, with a tasting room, 5-acre vineyard, full food menu and outdoor pizza oven.
Additionally, Rising Sun Vineyard will host an Oktoberfest party on Oct. 19 from noon-6 p.m., with live music, a stein-holding contest, pretzels and bratwurst.
