The Bastrop County Master Gardeners will host their semiannual plant sale on Oct. 11.

The gist

BCMG Communications Director Linda Shear said attendees can find native plants, including:
  • Trees
  • Shrubs
  • Perennials
  • Succulents
  • Fall vegetables
Shear noted that proceeds from the plant sales are used for projects such as:
  • Irrigation of the Butterfly Garden at Cedar Creek
  • Expansion of the Bob Bryant Community Garden
  • Bastrop Street Planters

The Master Gardeners program is an educational and service-oriented initiative under the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.

BCMG President Chris Toth said the group’s mission is to support the community by promoting and teaching sustainable ecological practices that help the local environment thrive.
