Melendez said that the company decided to expand into Bastrop to accommodate the city’s growing demand for an extended-stay hotel and its proximity to large production facilities—namely Elon Musk-led ventures like X, SpaceX and The Boring Co.
“The city is also poised for further growth upon completion of a 550-acre film studio and entertainment district,” she said.
