Husband-and-wife team Ben and Faith Benitez recently opened their new, larger space inside Harmony Ridge—a few buildings over from their original shop, which opened last February..

The new spot fills the former Oddity Den shop, which closed in August 2024.

What they offer

Horsemen Co. offers locally handcrafted bent-wood plant hangers, ceramic and wooden art pieces, and a variety of plants.

“We're thrilled to be in our new building, where we can offer more space for more plants, more Horsemen Co. products, more select wares from friends and more space for classes,” Ben Benitez said, adding that the new schedule for ceramic classes will soon be announced.

Meet the owners

The couple opened Horsemen Co. after moving to Bastrop County in 2016, offering their pieces remotely.

The Benitezes are artists by trade and chose to start a business that would foster their skills, Ben Benitez said in a previous interview with Community Impact.

"I'm a woodworker, and Faith is a ceramic artist and plant aficionado," Ben Benitez said.

Notable quote

“We have a passion for creating home decor that pairs sustainability and whimsy,” The Benitezes said on their website. “Our near-zero-waste policy gives us the inspiration for our designs. All the excess wood, like cut ends and scraps, from our plant hangers is used to make art pieces, and our sawdust is used to mulch our land. We even ship our products in as many recycled boxes as we can—making boxes from boxes previously used.”
