    Volcano Sushi and Ramen

Locals Daniel Luo and Alex Liu opened Volcano Sushi & Ramen next door to the recently established Tecuen crepe and coffee spot in the Burleson Crossing Shopping Center. Owners Randy and Jessica Walker make nearly everything in-house at Sweet Tea Cafe without seed oils—using only olive oil and tallow, depending on the dish. Jessica Walker said growing up in Smithville, she noticed a range of income levels among the residents, so they decided to offer “real food at a real cost,” with $0.50 coffees, $5 breakfasts and $7 lunches.Doug the Inspector

Dough Berryann is the former owner of Doug The Plumber, which he sold in late 2023, and now offers residential and commercial inspection services for homes and buildings. A master plumber since 2003, Berryann said he also offers hydrostatic plumbing testing, which most home inspectors cannot offer as it requires a plumbing license.O' MY TACO

A food truck serving breakfast tacos alongside the Almighty Taco Burger and the Almighty Fajita Taco–the food truck’s claim to fame. Owner and Pastor Roland Nava said that the proceeds from every purchase made are reinvested into the Bastrop community through the In the Streets Hands Up High Ministry.
