From a new yoga studio to Greek food and more, there are several new options for Bastrop County residents to visit.

Main Street Yoga

Locals Dr. Isabel Meijering, and Dacy and Heath Cameron opened Bastrop's newest yoga studio inside one of the two 1,800-square-foot Knittle buildings built in 1895 by local boot and shoemaker Alois Knittle Sr., along with his sons, Alois and Alfred Knittle. Main Street Yoga will provide a range of yoga classes and more, including sound baths, cupping, meditation, dance, pilates, body weight strength classes and workshops.PFLAG Bastrop

Local nonprofit Bastrop Pride facilitated the launch of PFLAG in Bastrop County to provide more support for those in the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. Bastrop Pride Vice Chair Alyssa Blanco said all community members are welcome to join PFLAG Bastrop meetings, which will take place on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:45-8 p.m. in Parish Hall at Calvary Episcopal Church.Coffee Greeks

The Greek, family-owned business opened inside the couple's boutique, Silver Creek Collections, which expanded into the spot next to Paw-Paw's Catfish House in April. Coffee Greeks replaced the former coffee kiosk, The Haven, nextdoor inside Merc on Main. Rebecca Syrpis said they created Coffee Greeks to give residents authentic Greek food and drink options, in addition to Greek-made bags, trinkets and more.Old Coyote Cafe

Owners Roland Barrera and Dan Mages—both locals—built the eatery out of a 31-foot Airstream travel trailer, decorated with lights and flags. The farm-to-table, grab-and-go breakfast taco concept uses only locally sourced, organic ingredients—most of which are harvested from the property. Mages described the food as "elevated Tex-Mex that is good to eat and good for you.” Drink options include freshly pressed juices and aguas frescas, organic coffees and teas, and organic beer, wines and spritzers on weekend with live music.Frontier Bank Smithville

Frontier Bank of Texas recently expanded into Smithville with the opening of its newest Bastrop County financial institution. The bank offers services including personal, business, loans, mobile banking and bill paying, wealth management, and safe deposit boxes, with additional Bastrop County locations including in the cities of Elgin and Bastrop.
