Radiant Juice Bar and Eatery opens in former Johnson's Bakery Aug. 1

Formerly known as Radiant Juice and Smoothie Bar, owner DeLacey Martin reopened her eatery with new options on Aug. 1.

What they offer

The new concept, Radiant Juice Bar and Eatery, will fill the former Johnson's Bakery location in downtown Bastrop—which closed on July 15.


Martin and her team will offer a completely gluten-free restaurant and bakery, in addition to a salad bar with protein options such as chicken, steak and salmon.

Martin relocated the juice bar on Jan. 14 at the corner of Chestnut and Jefferson streets.

Blake's Music Shop to gain more than 4,000 square feet with move in Bastrop in late summer


Blake's Music Shop will offer a more expansive selection of instruments and accessories when owner Gary Blake relocates the store from downtown Bastrop to the Colorado Crossing Shopping Center later this summer.

Blake said the move will take his store from 600 to 5,000 square feet.

"It is a big difference," Blake said. "I'm excited to be able to keep more new and used instruments in stock, and this will also give us a better parking situation for customers."

Austin Retina to relocate Bastrop clinic ahead of schedule

Austin Retina Associates is on track to open at its new Bastrop location ahead of schedule in September.

The gist

Originally slated to open in spring 2025, Austin Retina spokesperson Pam Shipley confirmed the team will move from 1106 College Street to 627 Hwy. 71 W.—next to Crossroads Animal Hospital—in September.


In an email to Community Impact, CEO Stephanie Collins said the relocation will give them more room, allowing the clinic to treat a larger number of patients using cutting-edge technology.
