From ramen and sushi to authentic Mexican food, check out three businesses coming soon to the Bastrop area.

Volcano Sushi & Ramen

Austin-area locals Daniel Luo and Alex Liu will debut their first restaurant when the pair opens Volcano Sushi & Ramen in the Burleson Crossing Shopping Center.

In addition to sushi and ramen, Luo and Liu will offer Chinese food at the sit-down restaurant, which will be nestled between CareNow Urgent Care and DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks.

Teapioca Lounge

Austin-based Teapioca Lounge will add Bastrop to its list of locations as the fast-casual franchise works to open 50 establishments.

According to a news release issued by the company, Meagan and Lorelei Mellenbruch of Mellow Tea recently signed to open a spot in Bastrop; however, Briana Liu, part of the Teapioca Lounge franchise development team, said a location had not been decided as of publication time.

Casa Chapala

Casa Chapala and Community Gardens are partnering to open Chapala Fiesta in the former Heroes Bar and Restaurant space, following Heroes’ closure on June 30.

A popular eatery in Bastrop, Casa Chapala serves authentic Mexican food derived from the Barragan family’s roots in the Central and Coastal Mexican states of Zacatecas and Jalisco, according to the website.
