Texas House District 47 incumbent Paul Workman, a Republican, won re-election with 54,629 votes, or 53.61 percent. Democrat Ana Jordan had 42,450 votes, or 41.65 percent and Libertarian Scott G. McKinlay had 4,821 votes, or 4.73 percent.

Workman, a Republican, has 43,073 votes, or 52.54 percent. Democrat Ana Jordan has 35,646 votes, or 43.48 percent, while Libertarian Scott McKinlay has 3,251 votes, or 3.96 percent.
