Fly-In Or Drive-In Aircraft and Car Show

Car clubs from Round Rock to San Antonio bring their cars to San Marcos to compete. The event also features general aviation, experimental, homebuilt, classic, vintage and warbird aircraft from throughout the Central Texas region. The Central Texas Wing of the Commemorative Air Force has its vintage aircraft on display and offers flights in historic planes at various prices. The event will also feature World War II-era re-enactors with authentic equipment. Food vendors and live music are also available. 12:30-3:30 p.m. Free. Nature Play Pre-K Day: Musical Sounds of Nature

Children ages 3-5 are invited to explore nature with all five senses with science and nature programs planned just for them. A boat ride and a craft is included. Preregistration is required, and space is limited. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. Tickets are $6 per person; age 2 and younger are free. Buda Market in the Park

This Saturday kicks off The Buda Area Chamber of Commerce’s new Buda Market in the Park events that are held the first Saturday of the month from June through September. Goods from vendors, such as local chamber members, farmers, artisans and antique dealers, are available for purchase along with live musical performances. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Free. Zumba at the Kyle Public Library
