More than 4,000 volunteers are needed to put on the annual South by Southwest Conferences & Festivals each year, and the organization is hosting an open call for applications this Saturday.

In exchange for volunteering a minimum of 24 hours during SXSW, volunteers earn badges and wristbands to the conference.

SXSW 2017 runs March 6-19, and volunteer positions are available during the day and at night. Duties include festival production, registration, the information booth, technical support and assisting with the trade show.

According to SXSW organizers, “Volunteering provides a unique opportunity to catch a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes at SXSW while earning a chance to see informative panels, catch an emerging band or stand-up comedian, chat with an up-and-coming filmmaker or witness your favorite internet idol taking a selfie.”

Featured speakers already announced for 2017 include former astronaut Buzz Aldrin, author and founder of Brave Leaders Brené Brown, actor and producer Seth Rogen and Fleetwood Mac founding member Mick Fleetwood.
