Austin Bakes for Haiti
Community members are invited to visit a Southwest Austin bakery and join Austin Bakes for a citywide charity bake sale to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti. Baked goods made by community members, home-bakers and bloggers will be sold at an outside table and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to Doctors Without Borders. Additionally, 10 percent of Crema Bakery and Cafe’s sales that day will also be donated.

Building Bridges #AISDFuture Town Hall
Austin ISD in collaboration with the city of Austin and the Travis County Sheriff’s Office will hold a Town Hall event Saturday to discuss the district’s facilities master plan and efforts to improve buildings and infrastructure. Superintendent Paul Cruz, Austin Mayor Steve Adler and officers from the Travis County Sheriff's Office will be on-site to answer questions.

Rainwater Revival
This event brings together homeowners, builders, vendors, and conservation experts to connect, share and celebrate the ancient tradition of harvesting rainwater. Hosted by the Hill Country Alliance, the event will feature shopping, local food, live music, raffles, vendors, rainwater system displays and expert information. The event is free and open to the public.

Texas Tree Climb
Attendees can celebrate Texas Arbor Day by climbing amid fall foliage using harnesses, ropes, and helmets. Trained experts will provide instruction and equipment. Children age 7 and older and adults are eligible to climb. Free (members, University of Texas at Austin members, age 4 and younger), $4 (ages 5-17), $8 (age 65 and older and students with college ID), $10 (adults).
