Lounge seating in works for Bee Cave movie theater The Cinemark theater in Bee Cave is updating its interior seating this summer.[/caption]

Seating at the Cinemark Hill Country Galleria theatre, 12812 Hill County Blvd., Bee Cave, is being converted to lounge-type recliners, called Cinemark Luxury Loungers,  Cinemark marketing coordinator Ashten Conroy said.

The new seating will include electric-powered recliners, cupholders and footrests, she said. Construction on auditoriums 8-14 ended in June, and the entire project is expected to be finished by early August.

“When we convert an auditorium to all luxury loungers, it cuts the [number of] seats in half,” Conroy said. “We provide more space between the aisles to allow [patrons] to recline and walk through the aisles with the larger seats.”

She said the theater has no plans to add a bistro and expects the ticket prices to remain the same following the project’s completion.
