New Braunfels City Council approved the first reading of a zoning change for nearly 6 acres at the intersection of Gruene Road and Hanz Drive during a regular meeting Jan. 12. The approval of the first reading was the next step for a proposed boutique hotel and the reopening of Tavern in the Gruene.
Council members are expected to consider the item during the Jan. 20 meeting.
