Austin ISD announced Thursday its class of 2015-16 reached a 89.7 percent graduation rate, which is the all-time record for the district.

The class of 2014-15 had a 86.3 percent graduation rate, which was the previous all-time record for AISD.

"We are making remarkable progress at AISD," Superintendent Paul Cruz said in a release. "I'm so proud of the effort by our staff each and every day toward the success of our students. Graduation rates at AISD continue to increase even while students are faced with some of the highest state accountability measures to date. AISD believes every student should graduate college-, career- and life-ready. All means all."
