The Houston-Galveston Area Council has announced the dates for its second round of public meetings on the 2045 regional transportation plan, according to an Oct. 3 news release.
There will be eight meetings taking place throughout the fall, with the last one scheduled for Dec. 1.
“The first round of public meetings and the visioning survey were meant to collect as much feedback as possible,” H-GAC Principal Transportation Planner Mike Burns said in the release. “We wanted to understand the concerns people have about the current transportation system and each community’s unique transportation needs. At this next round of public meetings, we’ll work to build a consensus around priorities and strategies included in the updated 2045 plan.”
At these second meetings, the H-GAC will present survey results, a summary of the feedback received and what the preliminary vision is for the 2045 regional transportation plan, according to the release. Attendees are encouraged to continue to share their feedback regarding the plan.
