Business 1774 to close at FM 1488 for concrete work in Magnolia

Drivers in Magnolia will need to plan around a several-day closure, according to a notice from the city of Magnolia.

Business 1774 at FM 1488 will be closed day and night from July 9-13 while crews complete concrete pouring at the intersection, according to the notice.

FM 1488 will remain open to eastbound and westbound traffic during the work. City officials are asking drivers to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and use alternate routes while the closure is in place.

Mayor Chris Blair thanked residents for their patience as the improvements are completed and said the work is part of efforts to help keep the community safe.
