1. Medical Complex Drive
The first segment of Medical Complex Drive in Tomball is complete after two years of construction work. The extension of Lawrence to South Cherry streets was expected to be completed within one year but was delayed because of utility relocations and heavy rain. Tomball City Council has not yet approved funding for a future segment between South Persimmon Street and Hufsmith-Kohrville Road. Once approved, the city will begin the design process at that time.

2. Hwy. 249 tollway extension
Final design has begun for Phase 2 of the Tomball Tollway, which will extend the existing toll lanes north of the bypass to the Harris County line at Spring Creek and connect to the Montgomery County portion of the tollway. Construction on the 1.6-mile stretch from FM 2920 to the Spring Creek bridge is expected to begin in January 2017. The tollway extension will keep the existing six-lane configuration. Design work on the Montgomery County portion of Phase 2 is 30 percent complete. Construction on the 3.4-mile segment from Spring Creek to Woodtrace Boulevard in Pinehurst is expected to begin in mid-2017. The segment of tollway will narrow from a six- to four-lane configuration.
