Tomball ISD school board reorganizes, appoints new president

Mark Lewandowski, the former vice president of the board, was voted the board's president during its monthly meeting Nov. 12.
The new vice president is Michael Pratt, who has been on the board since 2010.
"We reorganize annually to make sure all board members get experience at all positions," Lewandowski said. "It's an opportunity to experience different aspects of the district."
Lewandowski has lived in Tomball for nearly 50 years. He has been on the school board since 2003.
"When you can help children become successful and you can guide that, it's rewarding," he said. "I care a lot about the community. I think we're truly blessed in this community. The students we have are great. They want to learn."
