New animal hospital opening in Tomball

Creekside Park Animal Hospital is planning to open next month in Tomball, expanding from its Spring location.

The new hospital, located at 26219 Kuykendahl Road, will be taking over the building of a former veterinarian office, Creekside Park Veterinary Medical Center, which closed there about a year ago.

"We are going to do preventive medicine and maintenance so we can find out problems before they become evident to make sure pets are as healthy as possible," said Dr. David Dolan, owner of the hospital.

The full-service animal hospital will also provide teeth cleaning, x-rays and surgery.

"I've been planning on doing this for about 10 years," said Dolan, who lives in The Woodlands. "It's a growing location. There's a need for a veterinarian there."

Dolan, who also owns Companion Animal Hospital in Spring, is currently working on the new facility, expanding and updating the hospital, including adding a parking lot and driveway.

The new hospital, which will have six employees, will be open weekdays 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.,
