The city of Tomball is holding early voting Jan. 13 and Jan. 14 for a special election to fill a vacant seat on the city council.
A special election will be held Jan. 18 for Council Position 3, left vacant by Council Member Rick Brown, who resigned Nov. 18.
"[Brown] moved outside the city," said city secretary Doris Speer. "He was no longer eligible to serve."
The two candidates running for the vacant seat are Lori Ball, a quality assurance administrator who has lived in Tomball for six years, and Chad Degges, an engineer and local business owner, who has lived in Tomball for five years.
