Montgomery County was among the portions of the Houston area affected by severe thunderstorms that left over 300,000 people without power, Community Impact previously reported.
There were a little over 230 damage assessments and surveys done on properties in the county, with about 40 homes listed as major damage, said Jason Millsaps, executive director of emergency management and homeland security for Montgomery County.
