At its Oct. 12 meeting, the Magnolia Economic Development 4B Corp. approved a professional services agreement with Burditt Consultants LLC, which will develop a parks master plan.
In a nutshell
According to the agreement, Burditt Consultants LLC will be paid $72,000, and its work will include:
- An existing conditions assessment: conducting inventory of existing city-owned parks and properties; identifying natural and open space conservation opportunities
- A needs assessment: compiling information on existing demographics, recreation behavior and recreation trends; evaluating recreation program and parks and recreation budget
- Community and stakeholder engagement: facilitating events to receive input on Magnolia’s parks; creating an online survey
After Burditt Consultants LLC completes its work, it will prepare the master plan and a five-year action plan, according to the agreement.
