Chris Blair won the Magnolia mayor race with 45.4% of the vote, according to the city's voting results. Jonny Williams received 33.5% of the vote, and Jack L. Huitt received 21% of the vote.
In a statement May 3, the city of Magnolia clarified there will be no runoff in the mayoral race, as the elections are decided by a plurality, not a majority.
In the race for Position 5, Raymond K. Gaskin III defeated Keith D. Haberstroh with 327 votes to Haberstroh's 116 votes.
"I want to begin by saying thank you—truly, from the bottom of my heart—to the citizens of Magnolia for placing your trust in me. It is an incredible honor to be elected to serve on the City Council, and I do not take this responsibility lightly," Gaskin III said in a statement. "Magnolia is more than just a place we live—it’s our home. It’s where we raise our families, build our businesses, and come together as a community. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve each and every one of you, and I am committed to working hard every day to represent your voices, your concerns, and your hopes for our future."

In the race for Position 4, incumbent Brandon Jacobs was winning over challenger Todd Kana with a five-vote difference. Jacobs had 50.53%, or 237 votes, and Kana had 49.47%, or 232 votes, according to unofficial voting results from Montgomery County Elections.
Jacobs claimed victory and thanked the voters and said he looks forward to serving the citizens for another two years.
"I'm excited to continue serving the people of Magnolia for the next two years," Jacobs said.
For the Position 5 race, Raymond K. Gaskin III defeated Keith D. Haberstroh, according to unofficial voting results from Montgomery County Elections. Gaskin III brought in 73.81%, or 327 votes, while Haberstroh had 26.19%, or 116 votes.
Gaskin III did not respond prior to press time.
Results for all races remain unofficial until canvassed at a later date.

Magnolia voters headed to the polls May 2 to decide three city races, including mayor and two City Council positions.

In the race for Magnolia mayor, Chris Blair has 45.32%, or 150 votes, while Jonny Williams has 33.23%, or 110 votes, and Jack L. Huitt Jr has 21.45%, or 71 votes, according to unofficial early voting results from Montgomery County Elections.
For the City Council Position 4 election, Todd Kana has 51.23%, or 167 votes, while Brandon Jacobs has 48.77%, or 159 votes, according to unofficial early voting results from Montgomery County Elections.
In the Position 5 race, Raymond K. Gaskin III has 72.58%, or 225 votes, while Keith D. Haberstroh has 27.42%, or 85 votes, according to unofficial early voting results from Montgomery County Elections.
What’s on the ballot
The Magnolia mayoral race includes Blair, Huitt Jr. and Williams. This position was held by Matthew “Doc” Dantzer.
For Magnolia City Council Position 4, incumbent Jacobs is running against Kana. The Position 5 race includes Gaskin III and Haberstroh. This position was held by Huitt Jr.
What we know
During the April 20-28 early voting period, 21,253 Montgomery County voters cast ballots for the May 2 election, as previously reported. That included 18,052 in-person ballots and 3,201 mail-in ballots.

The Magnolia mayor presides over City Council meetings and serves as the city’s elected executive. City Council members vote on local policies, city spending, development items and other city business.
What else?
Totals from ballots cast on election day have not yet been released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at that time were still able to cast ballots.
