Celaya’s Seafood and Sports Bar in Pinehurst blends a classic cocktail with fresh fruits to create its frozen mango margarita.
The restaurant’s frozen margarita base—made with lime juice and sweet and sour mix—is hand-mixed with mango puree before it is garnished with lemon, lime and orange slices, and a cherry in a salted, chilled glass. The drink is regularly priced at $7.95.
“We use our tequila de la casa [house tequila] for the margaritas,” said Joanna Caviedes, an employee at Celaya’s. “The margaritas [are also] included in our happy hours, and on Tuesdays and Fridays, ladies get two free margaritas with the purchase of food.”
Celaya’s also offers a number of other flavored frozen margaritas, including classic lime, strawberry, blackberry, watermelon, pineapple, peach and sangria.
