LSC-Tomball partners with Grow with Google to help local businesses

The workshops are intended to help small businesses grow and succeed in the online environment, according to the release.

Janna Hoglund, director of LSC-Tomball Community Library, said with the immediate need for people to learn digital skills, this opportunity will be great for the community.

“We are all forced to migrate to the online environment,” she said. “Not everybody had the skills to do that efficiently, [which] is why it is important to provide that knowledge right now.”

LSC-Tomball has also partnered with local organizations such as the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce and the Tomball Economic Development Corp. to help promote the events.

TEDC Executive Director Kelly Violette said in the release this experience is a great way to teach business owners new skills and move toward a virtual business model.

“Our goal throughout the COVID-19 crisis has been to provide resources local businesses can use to continue operating,” she said.
