Dynamic Sports Training offers custom training experience

Poppe said before athletes begin training at the facility, they undergo an in-house assessment to measure body composition, balance, range of motion, nutritional needs and nearly 50 other markers to determine the best training plan.

“Pretty much any athlete, their body is going to have their own imbalances, weaknesses [or] dysfunctions—so that’s why we have a series of tests,” Poppe said. “Then once a month, we retest all this stuff to make sure the program is going in the right direction. Sometimes people respond to different things, so we need to find different things to achieve the same goal.”

Memberships at DST start at $159-$199 per month and range in length from single sessions to semester-long packages, Graber said. Although the facility location is near a baseball field, DST offers training in over 20 different sports positions, he said.

Poppe said what makes DST’s facility unique is the approach trainers take to find each athletes’ particular biomechanical makeup and setting goals to give athletes the best results possible.

“If we had our own one-size-fits-all program, that person’s not going to be served in any way,” Poppe said. “It’s always a challenge for us to continually push ourselves to learn more about how the body works and how the bodies respond and how to go about prescribing exercise.”
