Conroe ISD joined other school districts in the Greater Houston area Feb. 12 by announcing it will be closed Feb. 16 in light of expected inclement weather and hazardous road conditions. The district was already set to be closed Feb. 15 for Presidents Day weekend, according to the district.
The district made the announcement on its website and on social media.
Due to the inclement weather forecast for the Houston area and the potential for hazardous road conditions, Conroe ISD will be closed on Tuesday, February 16. As of Feb. 12, icy road conditions had already caused the closures of some overpasses in Montgomery County until further notice, according to county officials.
