Updated at 11:23 a.m. With all 96 precincts reporting, incumbent Charlie Riley, with 6,597 votes, or 43.51 percent, will face a runoff with Greg Parker, with 6,510 votes, or 42.93 percent, for Montgomery County Precinct 2 commissioner. Candidate Brian Dawson received 2,056 votes, or 13.56 percent. The primary election runoff date will be May 22. Riley and Parker could not be reached for comment on election night, however, Riley said in a Facebook post March 7 that he is looking forward to the runoff election in May. Published at 7:19 p.m. With early voting results tallied in March 6 Republican primary elections, Montgomery County Commissioner Precinct 2 incumbent Charlie Riley has taken a slight lead over opponents Greg Parker and Brian Dawson. Riley garnered 44.37 percent of the early vote, or 3,940 votes total, compared to 3,796 votes, or 42.75 percent of the votes, for opponent Parker and 1,144 votes, or 12.88 percent, for opponent Dawson. All results are unofficial until canvassed. The winner of the Republican primary will face democratic candidate Ron Keichline, who is running opposed.
