The Woodlands Township Transit Department announced an updated schedule effective July 1 for The Woodlands Express bus service, according to a news release. The updates were put into effect in an effort to better serve rider needs, improve service in the afternoon and provide improved access to business centers in the area, according to the release.
What’s changed
The Woodlands Express travels operates Monday through Friday and has routes from Research Forest Drive, Sawdust Road and Sterling Ridge to:
- Greenway Plaza
- Texas Medical Center
- Houston Museum District
- Downtown Houston
- A 3:10 p.m. departure from Downtown Houston to the Research Forest Park & Ride
- The current 3:15 p.m. departure from Downtown to Research Forest will move to 3:20 p.m.
- The 8:10 a.m. Research Forest morning route will extend to serve the Texas Medical Center
- The 1:30 p.m. midday departure from downtown Houston will be discontinued
Tickets for the express can be purchased through the The Woodlands Express WE TIX App. Instructions on how to purchase tickets can be found on The Woodlands Express website. Passengers can track their bus online through the bus tracker map and reach out to the transit department at 832-851-3362 with any concerns. Updated bus schedules will be posted online at all park and rides as of July 1, according to the township.
