The Woodlands Township is holding a seminar for its residents in order to instruct them on how to make better, more productive emergency calls.
The topic of the April 25 Watch Talk Wednesday meeting is "What Happens When You Call 911?" Presenters include The Woodlands Fire Department Communications Supervisor Rick Erickson and Montgomery County Communication Supervisors Lt. Joe Sclider and Denise Jimenez.
They will address the process of emergency and non-emergency calls, provide tips on information callers should provide to 911 operators and explain why the process works the way it does.
Marian Leck, the township's director of law enforcement services, gave an example of some of the information that residents can learn at the seminar.
