Photo by Matt StephensAfter more than a decade in business and six years at its current location on Ashlane Way in the Village of Sterling Ridge, The Blooming Idea purchased CM Floral Designs off of Budde Road in June. The deal provided the florist with an extra 4,000 square feet of space and easier accessibility to the I-45 corridor.
"It's been a major, major breakthrough for us," owner Brian McCarthy said. "It's going very well. We've seen a lot of big events take place."
The second location has provided better access to venues in Town Center, allowing The Blooming Idea to cater to large events in The Woodlands, such as the 31 Christmas trees provided to The Woodlands Waterway Marriott and a "Great Gatsby"-themed Christmas party for Anadarko employees, McCarthy said.
The Blooming Idea also has received more business along I-45 thanks to the second location, from as far north as Conroe and as far south as Houston.
