Early voting begins today and while Montgomery County residents head to the polls to fill out their ballot for the national election, several key local races are also appearing on the ticket.
Of the four positions up for election on the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees, just one is contested, with Joe Michels and Jessica Powell vying for the Position 7 seat.
Looking to take the place of retiring Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commissioner Ed Chance are Republican James Noack and Democrat Bryan Cambrice.
On the state level, state senate District 4 incumbent Tommy Williams is trying to head off an upset against Libertarian Bob Townsend, while Republican Steve Toth is looking to maintain the momentum he earned in the May primaries when he defeated incumbent Rob Eissler for the District 15 state representative position. Toth is facing Libertarian challenger Sterling Russell.
