Breakfast or a cocktail?: Waffle While You Whiskey

The Waffle While You Whiskey cocktail is a unique customer favorite that can be found on the menu at Woodson’s Local Tap + Kitchen.

The signature $9 drink is made with Lonestar 1835 Whiskey, Texas honey, vanilla and a homemade waffle garnish with a piece of bacon.

“It’s our top signature drink,” owner Todd Weaver said. “The Woodson’s Old Fashioned is also popular.”

The restaurant, which opened in March on FM 1488, offers a wide array of cocktails, local craft beer and wine as well as a happy hour from 4-7 p.m. daily.

Happy hour specials include $3 off house wine and fried pickles, $2 off craft beers and artisan fries and $1 off domestic bottles and drafts and egg rolls.

Menu items at the restaurant include chicken-fried steak, specialty egg rolls, mac and cheese options, a variety of burgers, soups, and salads and appetizers that include a giant pretzel and flatbreads.
