Shenandoah residents will have an opportunity to provide suggestions to the city regarding traffic concerns following discussion at the city’s March 11 meeting.
How we got here
The Traffic Analysis Committee, formed in 2025 including council member Joe M. Summerlin, was created to identify traffic concerns in the Shenandoah Valley neighborhood. The committee discussed approaching traffic mitigation in phases, beginning with neighborhood entry points and later evaluating additional locations, per the agenda packet.
“The types of things we were looking for were speeding, repeat offenders running stop signs and cutting through traffic,” Summerlin said.
