Why are you running for this position and what do you consider your qualifications?

I’m running to preserve what works, protect what matters and give residents a stronger voice. I bring military and executive leadership, including [profit and loss] responsibility, budget management and global negotiations. I’ll bring business discipline, independent judgment and greater transparency to ensure residents remain at the center of township decisions.

What are the three biggest challenges facing the township and which would you address first?

Public safety, fiscal stewardship and protecting our quality of life while ensuring residents have a meaningful voice in major decisions. Public safety comes first. We can preserve what makes The Woodlands exceptional while demanding transparency, disciplined management and accountability from township government.

What would your priorities be when considering budget initiatives in the following fiscal year?

Fund public safety and core services first. Having managed P&Ls and balanced budgets, I would scrutinize spending, eliminate waste and duplication, and demand measurable value for residents. Fiscal discipline isn’t arbitrary cutting; it’s protecting what works while ensuring every taxpayer dollar has a clear purpose.

What is a public safety priority you would focus on as a township director?

Strengthen visible, effective law enforcement and ensure officers have the resources, communication and coordination necessary to protect residents. I support technology that serves legitimate public safety needs, but security should not come at the expense of constitutional rights, personal privacy or unnecessary mass surveillance.

What legislative changes would you like to see in 2027 that could benefit The Woodlands?

I support legislation strengthening local control, protecting The Woodlands from unwanted annexation and giving our community greater ability to address public safety, mobility and infrastructure needs. State government should preserve our unique governance model while giving residents and their locally elected representatives greater control over decisions affecting their community.

Why are you running for this position and what do you consider your qualifications?

I am running to give back to the community that has helped shape who I am. I have a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Master of Public Policy and Administration, and I have spent my career in public service. I’m passionate about serving others and strengthening the community I call home.

What are the three biggest challenges facing the township and which would you address first?

The three biggest challenges are safety, economic development and traffic. I would address safety first. The Woodlands’ reputation for being a safe community is one of our greatest assets. If residents and visitors don’t feel safe, they won’t want to live, visit or do business here.

What would your priorities be when considering budget initiatives in the following fiscal year?

My biggest priority would be keeping taxes as low as possible while maintaining the services and amenities that our residents expect and enjoy.

What is a public safety priority you would focus on as a township director?

Our reputation as a safe, family-friendly community helps attract residents, visitors and businesses. I would focus on finding new ways to protect our township, focusing on the commercial district where we see the highest concentration of crime, while continuing to support the safety of our neighborhoods.

What legislative changes would you like to see in 2027 that could benefit The Woodlands?

I am looking forward to potential legislative changes regarding e-scooters and e-bikes. I also would like to see more protections regarding privacy and emerging technologies.

Why are you running for this position and what do you consider your qualifications?

I’m running because, like many residents, I care about how The Woodlands grows while maintaining the character and quality of life that define our community. As a charity founder and former nonprofit president, I’ve always put people and community needs first, and I’ll bring that same commitment to the board.

What are the three biggest challenges facing the township and which would you address first?

Traffic and mobility, managing the impacts of growth, and maintaining our quality of life are key challenges. I would prioritize mobility, working with county and regional partners on practical solutions while ensuring future decisions consider infrastructure, residents, businesses and the character of The Woodlands.

What would your priorities be when considering budget initiatives in the following fiscal year?

I would prioritize public safety, essential services, infrastructure needs and the amenities residents value while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Every initiative should be evaluated based on need, community benefit, cost and long-term impact. Residents should receive strong value from their tax dollars without unnecessary spending.

What is a public safety priority you would focus on as a township director?

I would prioritize strong emergency preparedness and coordination among law enforcement, fire services, the township and community partners. Public safety also requires prevention and communication. Residents should know where to turn, what resources are available, and receive timely information when emergencies or safety concerns arise.

What legislative changes would you like to see in 2027 that could benefit The Woodlands?

I would support legislation that helps The Woodlands address the impacts of growth, particularly traffic, infrastructure and public safety. I would advocate for stronger state and county partnerships and resources that support responsible growth while maintaining our community’s character, quality of life and being mindful of the impact on taxpayers.
