"My next steps are really learning everything that I possibly can and to be ready from Day 1 that I'm sworn in so that I'm ready to hit the ground running."

According to the Montgomery County elections website, unofficial voting totals are in for the winners of the Montgomery County Republican primary justice of the peace races.
Results show that Scott Carson won the Republican nomination in the justice of the peace primary for Precinct 1, Brittany Gable-Hale won for Precinct 3 and Billy Masden won for Precinct 5. They will appear on the November ballots in their respective races.
Among the primary winners, Gable-Hale defeated incumbent Jay Mac Sanders, and the incumbents did not run in the other contested races.
Community Impact reached out to the winning candidates on March 4.
"Last night [election night] proved what hard work will do ... I'm going to treat everybody fair," Masden said. "Everybody is going to be treated with dignity. It's going to be a difficult role at times. I'm going to have to make some difficult decisions with some people in front of me, and I cannot put personal beliefs and feelings in my decisions. My decisions will always be based on evidence."

Scott Carson: 51.27%
William Waggoner: 34.24%
Brian Luly: 14.49%
Precinct 3:
Jay Mac Sanders: 47.82%
Brittany Gable-Hale: 52.18%
Precinct 5:
Ashton Hedrick: 23.49%
Billy Masden: 76.51%

The unofficial Montgomery County early and absentee voting totals are in for the Republican primary in three justice of the peace races. Polls closed at 7 p.m. on election day.
The options
Candidates for Precincts 1, 3 and 5 in Montgomery County include Scott Carson, William Waggoner and Brian Luly for Precinct 1; Jay Mac Sanders and Brittany Gable-Hale for Precinct 3; and Ashton Hedrick and Billy Masden for Precinct 5.
In Precinct 1, incumbent Wayne Mack did not run for reelection and is instead seeking the Republican nomination in the primary for Montgomery County judge.
Sanders is the incumbent in Precinct 3, and neither Precinct 5 candidate is an incumbent.
The vote
Unofficial early and absentee results show that Scott Carson has the lead in the Precinct 1 race, Brittany Gable-Hale has a lead in the Precinct 3 race and Billy Masden is in the lead for the Precinct 5 race.

William Waggoner: 33.66%
Brian Luly: 14.27%
Precinct 3:
Jay Mac Sanders: 47.14%
Brittany Gable-Hale: 52.86%
Precinct 5:
Ashton Hedrick: 22.52%
Billy Masden: 77.48%
