Prevailing HOPE Luncheon
Child Advocates of Montgomery County are holding the inaugural Prevailing HOPE: A Gathering for Good luncheon. The event is focused on uplifting children in crisis and features keynote speaker Amelia Rose Earhart.
Young Makers Market
Attendees can shop original artisan pieces and crafts in this mini-arts festival dedicated to empowering student artists grades 3-12. The event is produced by The Woodlands Arts Council.
The Woodlands Kiwanis Club 35th Annual Kids Fish Festival
Join The Woodlands Kiwanis Club for this year’s Kids Fishing Tournament at Creekwood Park. The free event welcomes toddlers, kids and teenagers ages 2-16 to catch fish and win awards. Free bait and refreshments will be provided. All participants must bring their own gear. Preregistration is required online.
The Woodlands Cars & Coffee for a Cause
Join The Woodlands Car Club on the first Sunday of September for a charity showcase of vintage vehicles at Market Street. Auto enthusiasts can view a variety of classics on display, and donate toward Market Street’s “Change for Charities” program that supports at least four nonprofits in Montgomery County each year.
Labor Day Festival
The family-friendly festival will feature live music, children’s activities, face painting, balloon art, strolling entertainment and pie-eating contests. A fireworks show will cap off the celebration during the evening, which attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and coolers for. On-site registration for youth and adult pie-eating contests is required.
‘Agua, Aguita, and Fuego, Fuegito’
In partnership with the Houston Grand Opera, The Woodlands Children’s Museum welcomes guests to a bilingual storybook presentation of “Agua, Aguita, and Fuego, Fuegito” by Jorge Tetl Argueta. The children’s book utilizes poetry and illustrations to depict the beauty of water and fire elements, while at the time reflecting Argueta’s indigenous roots and appreciation for nature. The storytime is in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Backing The Brave TX’s 3rd Annual Fall Festival
Backing The Brave TX is hosting its community festival for the third year in a row, which will offer services from local vendors, family-friendly activities, live entertainment and resources for those currently or formerly serving in the military. Every dollar raised at the event will support Thin Line Force’s mission to provide assistance to veterans, active duty military, first responders and their families in Montgomery County. Admission is free.
Conroe ISD: Fields of Faith
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, or FCA, of North Houston is hosting a ministry program at Woodforest Bank Stadium where students can gather for prayer, worship, testimonials and fellowship with their peers. Prior to the worship service, a tailgate will be open to attendees.
Platinum Wine Vault
Wine & Food Week presents a luxury tasting with world-class wines, chef-inspired cuisine, a special Greek experience and live music.
Moonlight Masquerade
The Conservatory at Alden Bridge invites guests to a masquerade-themed charity event centered around collecting canned goods and product donations for Interfaith of The Woodlands. The senior living complex is requesting items such as pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly, shampoo, deodorant and more. Attending guests will enjoy live music and refreshments, as well as be able to tour the conservatory’s residence options either for themselves or a loved one.
Denim and Diamonds Gala
Inspiration Ranch’s annual Denim and Diamonds Gala returns for its 18th year. Gala festivities will include both a silent and live auction, a Doodle Art gallery, a bourbon pull, a saloon-themed afterparty, an open bar, testimonial sessions and a general store where attendees can learn more about the ranch’s daily operations as an equine-assisted therapy provider.
Beacon at the Blue Magnolia: A Southern Evening of Music and Meaning
Project Beacon Texas is hosting its fifth annual fall fundraiser at its newest venue, The Blue Magnolia. The fundraiser will celebrate the foundation’s progress in creating support services and skill programs for adults with autism spectrum disorder, among other neurodiversities. A featured live music performance from country duo The Dryes is slated for the event.
Out of the Darkness Walk
Funds raised through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention walk support research, advocacy efforts and educational programs in schools, workplaces and communities.
Shakespeare in the Park
An outdoor theatre performance of "The Merry Wives of Windsor" by Points North Theatre Company. Concessions will be on-site for purchase and attendees may bring lawn chairs or blankets.
The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art and Design Show
The Woodlands Arts Council has reinvented its annual fall event into a curated indoor showcase where patrons can peruse original works by juried artists and designers from across the country. Attendees may also browse sculptures, fine craft, home decor, wearable design and jewelry, Returning favorites from past years include “Meet the Makers” booth talks and live music throughout the weekend event.
