Bari Ristorante The Woodlands will open Sept. 30 at 24 Waterway Ave., according to a news release from Bari Hospitality Group.
The 9,000-square-foot Italian restaurant will initially serve lunch and dinner daily and will begin offering weekend brunch Oct. 4.
What's on the menu
The restaurant takes a contemporary approach to Italian culinary tradition, according to the news release, offering European cheeses, dry-cured meats, fish sourced from Europe and house-made pastas prepared with imported Italian flour.
The opening is being led by Italian Master Chef Renato de Pirro along with Executive Chef Marcelo Mintz, who will remain to oversee daily culinary operations.
Some of the dishes served at the original River Oaks District location that guests can find at the new spot include Fritto Misto, Pappardelle Bolognese and pizza. Tableside dishes such as Branzino alla Griglia, Truffle Pasta and Bananas Foster will also be offered, and the restaurant will feature new dishes created for The Woodlands location.
New entrées include:
Pollo Piccata with lemon-caper sauce, sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes
Scaloppine Sorrentina topped with cherry-tomato sauce and mozzarella di bufala
A grilled chicken sandwich with pesto, tomato and shallot mayonnaise

Like the River Oaks District restaurant, The Woodlands location incorporates lava-rock wall covering as well as wallpapers from Spain and Lladro chandeliers. It boasts:
250 seats
More than 3,000 square feet in the front of the house
2 private dining rooms for up to 40 guests each
2 back-of-house kitchens
A bar lounge that can accommodate 30 guests
A weekday happy hour will also be offered at the location. The site formerly housed the restaurant TRIS, which closed in early 2025.
