Memorial Hermann Primary Care Clinic celebrates groundbreaking

The Howard Hughes Corp. and Memorial Hermann celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Memorial Hermann Primary Care Clinic, located at 1890 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands, on March 9.

According to Jim Carman, president of The Howard Hughes Corp. Houston region, the project is part of a partnership between Memorial Hermann and The Howard Hughes Corp.

"Memorial Hermann Primary Care Clinic will complement the extensive medical offerings in The Woodlands area and meet the growing needs of our residents, tenants and customers for world-class health care," Carman said in a follow up news release.

Rachelle Guerra, vice president of physician practices for Memorial Hermann, said the location will allow Memorial Hermann to double its footprint and offer additional services with 34 exam rooms, endocrinology, sports medicine and primary care at the 20,000-square-foot building.

"This will provide convenient access for where the patients need it," Guerra said. "There will be more accessibility for our patients."

Carman added the new location will be more convenient for patients in the area, as they will not have to travel to the main medical campuses.

The Memorial Hermann Primary Care Clinic is anticipated to be completed by the end of this year.
