Two deaths related to COVID-19 were reported in Montgomery County May 22, bringing the county's total fatalities from the virus to 23.
The reported deaths include two women in their 70s, one from Conroe who died in a hospital and one from Montgomery who died in hospice care, according to the county public health district.
Seven new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the county from May 21-May 22, bringing the cumulative county case count to 888. The new cases range from people in their 20s to 70s including four people in Conroe and one each in Magnolia, Porter and Spring, according to the public health district. All are currently in self-isolation.
