Carman added he is looking forward to sharing his expertise in an advisory position.
“It has been a privilege to help shape The Woodlands, Bridgeland and The Woodlands Hills over nearly 15 years,” Carman said. “I am deeply grateful to our team members, builders, business partners and residents for everything we have accomplished together. These are communities where people are building their lives, and I am proud to have played a part in that. Drew and the team will carry this work forward, and I look forward to sharing my experience with them in an advisory capacity.”
Another point of view
Brad Bailey, chair of The Woodlands Township board of directors, also shared his perspective on the announcement with Community Impact.
“In The Woodlands, our community expects more than leadership in name alone. We expect leaders to show up, get involved and stand alongside the people who call this community home. Jim Carman understood that, and time and again, Jim showed up. He created long-term relationships and he gave back to our incredible community," Bailey said.
