Jeremy Parsons, a country local artist originally from San Antonio, said he first started pursuing music as a junior in high school while looking for a hobby. Today, Parsons said he has had his share of triumphs in the music industry both locally and nationally.
Giving credit to the Texas music scene and local artists such as Randy Rogers and Brandon Rhyder, Parsons said dance halls in Texas are filled with fresh inspiration.
Can you tell me about your experience as a musician?
It's been a wild ride that I wouldn't change for anything. I've been hungry, I've been broke, I've been heartbroken; you know, all the human things—except I've put them all into songs to use as reminders that we don't stay where we were. I started out playing all over Texas, then tried my luck at Nashville. [I] got what I needed from the town and then got out. I got to open for George Jones at the Arena Theatre in Houston. I've shared buses and planes with country music royalty. I’ve recorded three full-length projects, released an EP in September and we have already started working on the next EP. I've gotten to travel the world and been all over the United States. I've made some fantastic memories and met some of the best people. I love my job, and I feel incredibly grateful to wake up and do this every day. I can't wait to see what's next.
