Carmengio’s Italian Food and Pizzeria will open a location in Sugar Land in 2017. The restaurant will be built by the end of 2016 on University Boulevard, near the intersection with West Avalon Drive. Chef Sergio Valladares said the Sugar Land location will have a bigger menu than Carmengio’s Richmond location and will measure between 3,500 and 4,500 square feet. Carmengio’s sells pizza, pasta, flatbread sandwiches, salads and Buffalo wings.
