Heading into the weekend, there are 905 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Fort Bend County, according to new information released April 24 by the county health department.
This number includes active cases, which total 780, as well as recoveries and deaths. The county reports that there are 71 people hospitalized with the coronavirus countywide.
One additional death was reported April 24, bringing the total number of Fort Bend County residents who have died from the virus to 21.
Most Fort Bend County cases—505 of the 905—are being reported in unincorporated portions of the county. The Fort Bend County portion of Missouri City has 138 cases, the most of any single jurisdiction in the county. Sugar Land follows at 99 confirmed cases.
