Unofficial results indicate Naushad Kermally leads Nabila Mansoor in the race for the Sugar Land City Council District 2 seat. Kermally has garnered 1,435 votes, or 62.5%, while Mansoor received 861 votes or 37.5%. Kermally will fill Bridget Yeung’s seat on council. Due to term limits, Yeung could not run again this year. Kermally is an executive vice president at Prime Communications and has lived in Sugar Land for over 8 years. Results are unofficial until canvassed.
